Blues went into this game hoping to bounce back from the defeat at Halifax. No problem against the Shots who had lost all five games so far!
First half and Egbri goes close, and Arnie has to save well. Then Murphy gets a comical goal as the keeper kicks the ball at him and Murphy just has to slide the ball home! 1-0 on 17 mins. But Blues fail to push on and it’s Shots who equalise as Demi deflects into the net for an OG. Halfo 1-1.
Second half and the next goal is vital yet again – and yet again it’s the opposition on 50mins taking the lead. Phil Brown makes changes (again) but to no avail again and no surprise again when Shots make it 3-1 on 88mins. Demi pulls one back in injury time but the damage is done and full time comes to boos from the fantastic 5000 home support.
