A bad week for shrimpers everywhere as Blues pull out of the Essex Senior Cup citing pitch problems and fixture congestion(!), fans protest against Ron before the game and the Beastleigh do a number on Blues with a “professional” display aided and abetted by poor refereeing.
First half and Blues start well and cause the Beast problems , but they come back to test Blondy and he fluffs a freekick punch to see Beastly knock in the second ball. Halfo 0-1.
Second half and Beastleigh are drawing Blues into a stop start niggly game, Bridgy shaves the bar with a shot but Beasty score from a second ball after a long throw of course. Harry Cardwell deservedly gets Blues to 1-2 and they push for the equaliser, but a long shot goes through Blondy to wrap it up. Beastly go through the full Monty of diving, feigning injury and timewasting to mug all three points.
