The Mighty Shrimpers looked to arrest a poor run against playoff hopefulls Notts County. Prawntroopers Steve and Tim Whelk had travelled down from Nottingham to watch the Blues and in no way to meet up and go on the piss.
First half and Blues have a couple of half chances but a freekick is poorly defended and Notts are in front . Blues have another chance or two but halfo 0-1.
Second half and Notts score again on 61mins and blues are struggling. On comes Powell as sub and he’s fouled in the box for a penalty, which Dalby will of course spank into the net and it’s game on! But Dalby dithers and dances on the run up and his weak shot is easily saved. Notts take full advantage and Rod Rigues gets his hat-trick on 80mins to send us home grumpy.
