Southend UNITED 1 Wealdstone 1

The Blues went into the first of three home games, fixtures coming thick and fast for a still small squad, with players carrying injuries. Dackers and Waldron start, Demi still in the side and playing well at 36yrs old!

First half and it’s a similar story with Blues having lots of the ball but Stone looking dangerous on the break. No surprise when Adarkwa scores after just 5mins. Waldron has a shot clered off the line and chances go begging at both ends, Blues glad to see halfo at only 0-1.

Second half and Ollie Coker on for Wes Fonguck at halfo, Blues putting more pressure on thru Jack Bridge and Gus Scott-Morriss but Dackers, Sandat and Waldron all head over from decent crosses. It’s looking bleak for Blues but Henry Sandat pokes home on 90mins from another Jack Bridge assist. Prawntroopers Fish Walsh and Prawn Connery sigh with relief, along with 6,000 plus Shrimpers.

Under par Blues happy with a point.
