Southend UNITED 1 Dagenham 1

The Mighty Shrimpers welcomed the TV cameras and West Ham’s Under23 team to Roots Hall. Half the normal attendance at Dagenham travelled to the Hall to chant racist abuse and cheer on their team in their Cup Final.

First half and yet again the Blues are on the back foot with Collin saving well before Hill scored on 14mins to give Blues a hill to climb. Dags hit the bar and Collin saves Blues with important stops. Cav Miley gets an orange card for a late challenge as Blues struggle. King Kev watches from the Directors Box and leaps down to the dressing room at halfo 0-1.

Second half and at last the Blues are pushing forward. Just two minutes in and a cross from Cardwell is slotted home by Danny Waldron and the comeback is alive! Daggers are not so sharp as Blues make Dags keeper Elliot WestHam earn his Cup Final medal with good saves and a Sandat shot hits the bar. Blues finish strong but another draw at home looks to be a fair result.
