With Phil Browntrout announcing that he was staying for next season, Blues faithful hoped for a good display in the last home game. Prawn Connery and Joe Prawnby reckoned a Bantams win, but Fish and Nick went for a home victory.
First Half and the Fudd were on top with Blues just not sharp enough. No surprise when a poor clearance and no closing down led to Lee Evans scoring past Smiffy. Lenny and Barney went close with efforts but Duff stayed in control, Halftime 0-1.
Second Half and the Shrimpers needed to have a go at the opposition, Hunty and Bridge came on, then Loza. Barney rattled the crossbar, Lenny shot was inches wide but the Fudd held on for the win.
