Then Plymuff forward kicks his own feet and falls over, the assistant ref spots and flags, and the ref runs over to give him a yellow card……wait a minute….. he gives a pen! carey scores and it’s 1-0 to the Plymuff Divers! But Blues rally and Dieng is fouled yet again and ref has to give a penalty to Southend. Demi scores for 1-1! Demi is then elbowed in the face and Powell and Adams have a scuffle and are both red carded! Halfo 1-1.
Second half becomes a bit scrappy but Blues have chances, Mantom is MOTM for Fish. Adapo and Theo end up having a shootout and both miss badly to leave it at 1-1.
Long way home for the Shrimpers but a point well earned.
