Paul Simon Holland

A Shrimper through and through until his untimely passing, Paul was one of the most generous and likeable blokes you could hope to meet.
A Shoebury lad, Paul worked in the city but still found time to follow the Blues, even running the coaches when the club couldn’t be bothered.
His memory lives on with his family and the people that he privileged with his friendship.

Memories of Paul

Me sorting freebies in the home stand at Notts County, with A*** and C****, chatting with Mick Miller and Bradley Walsh at half time before the Stewards sussed us and took us to the away end.

A misunderstanding at Cambridge in which plod thought I was drunk and nicked me when I ran onto the pitch looking for a four-leaf clover. Paul kept the coach waiting for 3 hours while me and A.N. Other were released from the police station.

Ten of us walking into a pub in Luton full of their fans.
It all went quiet.
They looked at us,
We looked at them.
Paul strode up to the bar and in a loud voice said…
“Twenty pints of bitter please mate”
