Fish Walsh’s Shark in the Water for the vital game at Shrewsbury is none other than Shrimpers fans favourite Gary “Hot Pants” Deegan. He joined Blues in 2014 and after helping Blues to promotion through the playoffs, Deegs joined the Shrooz in pre-season 2016 after Phil Browntrout had refused to subsidise Deeg’s beard oil.
Deegs has played 43 games this season and scored – (that’s jinxed it) – a grand total of zero goals. This is the exact same amount of goals he scored for the Mighty Shrimpers!
Deegs was only an unused sub in the last Shrooz game, so Shrimpers fans may have to wait to see him get a yellow card! Fish is worried that he’ll score his first goal since he played for the Cobblers in 2014!
