Fish Walsh and Nick Prawnby braved the visit of Steve Chubby Evans and his league leaders. Sir Nick had spent a pleasant half hour in the company of Lord Nobbler of the Hall discussing all things Billy Best , who was sadly missing from the current line up.
First half and Blues are playing head tennis with the giant Posh back line. But when Blues play on the deck, they cause problems and Macca has a free kick saved, then a header is well saved again, Blues having pot shots. But Posh get a soft (never was) freekick and score. We hear the Posh fans for the first time on 33 mins. Posh keeper saves from Coxy, Dieng volley straight at him, didn’t have a clue, Bunn header good save. Halfo 0-1, they’ve scored from their only shot on target.

Second half and Posh skim the bar but Coxy shoots well over from a freekick. Another frrekick and Posh get the 2nd ball again. 0-2. Game over says Fish but half hour to go, come on you Blues. Bunny crosses for Hopper, 1-2, then Cokes for Macca who buries it for 2-2. Fat Evans makes subs and they pay off when Toney pokes home for 2-3 87mins. Yet another late goal, Blues get some corners and push on but Posh see it out. Gutted.
