The Mighty Shrimpers hosted Dorking Wanderers in the Blues first ever FA trophy tie. Blues selected a strong team with Collin Andeng Ndi getting his debut in goal.
First half and it’s the Dorks who are on top and score after 4mins! Shocking defending giving Ndi no chance. Dorks are playing well but Blues get a penalty after half an hour – which Murphy blasts over the bar! But Dalby slots home a rebound on 41mins to make halfo 1-1.
Second half and Dorks start well again and Andeng Ndi has to make a fab penalty save to dent Dorks on 55mins. Then 2nd half sub Matt Dennis curls in a super shot on 74mins.
Blues then hang on for the last quarter of an hour as Dorking Wanderers lay siege to the Blues box and are grateful for the full time whistle in this FA Trophy clash.
