Prawn Connery, Fish Walsh, Nick Prawnby and Wendy Prawniwell were the PZ team at Roots Hall. Wimble came to the Hall as the bottom club but in good form, whereas the Blues were in a rut and leaking goals. In came Tiernan and Oxley with Bish dropped, a decision which came back to haunt Chris Powell.
First half and the blustery wind soon becomes a major factor in a scrappy game, which suited Wimble. Bunny shoots wide, Ox save well, Turner has a header well saved. Halfo 0-0.
Halfo and we agree that a mistake could well decide the game……….
Second half and same again but Wimble put Blues under pressure with several corners, they’re using the conditions better than Blues did. Then disaster as Piggott chases a long ball, Turner and Ox hesitate and the Pig strikes. 0-1 and Wimble see it out with Macca wasting a good chance.
Blues now just one point from the bottom four…………….
