After the Lord Mayor’s Show for the Blues fans, good news and a modicum of optimism after the win at HMRC followed by a disappointing loss to Barnet at the Hall. Blues start with Powell and Sandat up front, not ideal, Cardwell, Murphy, Hyde all injured. News of Lopata being named on the bench then quitting the club was to come out later…..
First half and a bright start sees chances but Sandat is brought down on a break and the ref bottles the red card – freekick wasted! Barno hit the post and Blondy has to save well, halfo 0-0.
Second half and on 66mins Blondy saves but Barno net the rebound. Blues can’t find a way thru and Blondy saves well late on to deny a goal. A disappointing night for the Mighty Shrimpers, down to 8th now.
