Southend UNITED 1 Bromley 2

Bromley Bashers ventured into civilisation north of the river to face a Blues side naming just ONE substitute thanks to the embargo and Ron Martin. The Bromley Boys proceeded to flatten Blues players  in order to force a substitution, in front of a clueless ref and arsistants…

First half and the Bashers, who hadn’t even brought socks to the game, nudged Gus Scott-Morriss into the hoardings and thankfully his head injury wasn’t too bad, and no booking for the Basher thug. Chances at both ends until 6mins into Basher-induced injury time, and the Bashers score for 0-1 halfo.

Second half and a costly mistake gives Cheeky a tap in for 0-2. Then Blues keeper David Martin is upended by a Basher and has to be subbed off injured – no booking obviously. GSM has to go in goal, Brooklyn goes up front and scores on 80mins. The Bashers hold on despite Blues pressure and presumably give the ref a lift home.

Heroic performance from Mahers Dozen, #MartinOut
