Solihull Mauled!

The Mighty Shrimpers went into the game with just 4 subs including a 16yrold. Against the 3rd placed team with a good record away from home. Daniel Kanu, the Charlton loanee starts, with knackered Noor Husin back from international duty with Afghanistan. Aussie new owner in waiting, Justin Rees was in attendance….

First half and Hull start well and disaster as Jason Demetriou is off injured after just 11mins. We all fear the worst for the lads. He’s replaced by centre back Brooklyn Kabongolo. 4mins later and Kanu scores a volley from a Kensdale header for 1-0. Hull are on the back foot and on 30mins it’s Kanu again after a cockup in the Hull defence. Halfo 2-0.

Second half and it’s a brilliant volley from 22yards from Noor Husin on 61mins as Blues smell blood – 3mins later Kanu gets his hattrick with a neat header from a Bridgey cross and on 66mins he gets his 4th goal with a close range poach, 3 goals in 5mins for the Blues! Vilhete on for Noor and Jack Wood for Handsome Harry Cardwell who appears to be injured. Blues see the game out well and send 6000 Shrimpers home happy!
