The big news came in that Ron Martin had sold the club to Justin Rees etc and the fans flocked to the Hall to celebrate! The deal isn’t signed and sealed until November 1st but we didn’t care! First half and it starts cagey but Blues dominate with chances, then up pops Handsome Harry Cardwell on 31mins with a smart header. City are rocked and Jack Wood shoots home his own rebound on 38mins, a well deserved 2-0 halfo.
Second half and Blues are dominant, City fluff a couple of half chances and it’s the City keeper Haigh keeping the score down. Wes Fonguck makes a welcome return and nearly scores, as it ends with the Blues on top and a well happy 6,000 Shrimpers!
