Southend’s 3rd home game in a row was a scrappy hard fought win against everybody’s favourite team of bogies, Aldershot. A couple of changes with Leon Parillon with his first start.

First half and The Aldershot team bus finally arrives 15 mins late to see Josh Walker miss a sitter. Blues have chances and Hayes saves well from the Shots, halfo 0-0.

Second half and Jack Bridge sets up Noor Husin to slot home on 53mins. Then it’s Gus Scott-Morriss with a typical far post finish for 2-0. Shots come back into it tho and hit the post, and Hayes in goal is busy, but a flurry of subs from both teams sees Blues hang on for the vital win.
